biography

Katherina Papadopulos is a flutist, multi-instrumentalist, and music therapist, blending her profound musical talents with a passion for using sound as a bridge to connection and personal growth.

From the age of six, her life has been steeped in music. Beginning with the clarinet before discovering the flute as her true voice, her early years were defined by exploration and discovery. Her commitment to the craft led her to earn a diploma from the Conservatory of Patras, where she honed her classical skills and built the foundation of her artistic journey.

In Berlin, a city known for its vibrant creativity, she found new inspiration. Immersing herself in diverse genres and innovative approaches, she transformed her relationship with music into an ever-evolving dialogue. This period of growth inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Music Therapy at the University of Arts Berlin, deepening her understanding of music as a tool for emotional expression and self-discovery.

Her artistry is a constant journey of exploration. From intimate improvisational sessions to dynamic collaborations, her work thrives at the intersection of structure and spontaneity. With over ten years of experience teaching flute and music, she has guided countless students in discovering their unique voices.

Recently, her practice has expanded to include music therapy and self-exploration sessions for individuals and groups, as well as workshops designed specifically for musicians.

Her upcoming project “in Between” beautifully encapsulates her journey, merging classical roots with innovative expression to create a deeply personal and evocative musical experience.

"in Between"

This is a collaborative, immersive project by Katherina Papadopulos, which mixes musical styles, artistic disciplines and therapeutic methods to create experiences that you can step into and be enveloped by. The project unfolds as three interwoven themes:

In Between Disciplines

Interdiscipinary projects and events that bring together musicians, dancers and other artist, as well as yoga facilitators, and therapists to co-create immersive performances and workshops where movement, sound, and method meet.

In Between languages

Performances that blend genres, styles, and spoken or musical languages, creating layered sound-worlds that invite deep listening and felt resonance.

In Between Women

Participatory initiatives and workshops focused on women’s creative expression and empowerment, using collaborative music-making and embodied practice to open new ways of expression and presence.
